Paul Kenyon had considerable brewing experience behind him (Flannery’s of Aberystwyth, and O’Malley’s of Kilkenny) when he secured a lease on the Bull Ring at Kingstone which permitted the installation of a brewery. He acquired the redundant Dunn Plowman equipment from Kington and started brewing on March 17th 2009. The first brews were of sufficient quality and were launched on 25th March.

Demand for the beers in the local free trade, mainly in the Herefordshire area and adjoining counties, necessitated expansion of the brewery. As this as not possible at the Bull Ring pub, a new brewery has been established at nearby Peterchurch.
